Buses in Carlton

Are you, your family or anyone in the village affected by any of the following:

  1. Only two buses an hour through the village
  2. No buses into or out of the village in the evening
  3. Stourton Park and Ride no longer on a Sunday
  4. Unreliability of public transport.
  5. Do you feel a regular smaller bus accessing just local places like Rothwell, Oulton. Woodlesford and Lofthouse, especially for shopping, Doctors, dentists etc would be useful, if so how many times a day should it run.

We need your viewpoints to try to take this matter forward. Please contact us using the contact form.

Strawberry Fields – Complaints

Quite a few people are complaining about the Strawberry Fields site and Avant homes not sticking to their construction statement. Leeds Planning say they have not received many complaints. In order for something to be done, if you are not happy with the situation, please see the attached flyer for further guidance what to do. Remember if at all possible take a photo to attach to your email.

Strawberry Fields – Construction Statement

We have had a quite a few complaints about the work at the Strawberry fields. The Strawberry Fields Developer (Avant Homes) was supposed to circulate a construction statement (approved by Leeds City Council) to Carlton Village, but this hasn’t happened, so here is a copy of the document which describes how the developer intends to manage the building of the estate and includes some measures that are supposed to be put in place to lessen the impact on the local community.

There have already been a number of issues where some aspects of this statement do not appear to have been fully adhered to, but at least the document sets out what is intended and is therefore a basis for complaint should these intentions not be followed up. If you wish to report non compliance to maybe working hours, mud on roads, or generally feel that Avant are not sticking to the construction statement, e mail planning.enforcement@leeds.gov.uk quoting the 22/03291/COND Strawberry Fields Development as a reference.
